The Town Assessor, Celeste Karakas, will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm for appointments or questions.

Procedures for Grievance and Informal Hearings

In addition to the above scheduled times for sitting with the assessment roll, the Assessor will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 16, 2013 for informal hearings to discuss any assessment prior to grievance day; Wednesday May 22, 2013.  Please call Penny @ 689-7405 to schedule an appointment.

Any owners contesting their assessment that have recently purchased or are currently listing their property should bring the MLS listing, signed purchase agreement, property appraisal and any additional pertinent information available.  For all others, please provide any useful information for the basis of your claim including photographs, street listings or comparisons.  All information will become the property of the Town of Elbridge and kept confidential.

We ask that any commercial properties supply an income and expense statement or business income tax returns as they will be requested for grievance.

Grievance forms need to be completed and returned PRIOR to May 17, 2013 to receive an appointment time.  Walk-ins will still be accepted and scheduled by the grievance board on May 22, 2013.
